Used this on a lighting fault in a school extension and it saved a lot of time. The LCD display and audible signal made it much easier to follow the run than the cheaper pen-style tools I had before.
I bought it mainly as a network cable locator for structured cabling jobs and it has been excellent. The probe is responsive, the controls are simple and the carry case keeps everything together in the van.
Very handy bit of kit for maintenance work across multiple flats. I used it to identify the correct wire in a crowded bundle and it was far quicker than the old process of trial and error.
Solid cable tracer and well put together. My only minor gripe is that it uses 9 V batteries in both units, so I now keep spares with me, but performance-wise it has been reliable.
